Give Microsoft credit – they’re in this market for the long term, and we’ve seen in the past that they can learn from the early versions of products to get better and better – Xbox 360 anyone? Zune 3 will be better than this one, which is good all on its own. Reviewed by Mark McClusky.

They’ve done everything in house in Redmond, from industrial design to a total rewrite of the store and software. The result is a perfectly respectable player, one that shines in some areas and still leaves you scratching your head in others.
