Off to see the Professor
I'm off to the Uni to-morrow to see a Professor.
My dad had a serious talk with me on Sunday night after dinner, I'm expected to be there Sunday night, no matter what I've been doing all the weekend.
I don't mind really, as I have to go to work the next day and I'm not really good at getting up in the morning.
So, after speaking with dad I arranged to see this Professor of Electronics.
Dad reckons I'll do better that way than going through the usual channels or just writing a letter.
I had my deferred year and now I'd be lucky if they were prepared to extend it. Dad said I'd better think of some good excuses.
I'm having a sickie to-morrow, Dad said he'd ring the boss, it looked better that way and if the boss rang Mum would say I was too sick to come to the phone, I think it's really bad the way they keep checking up on People all the time.
Dad said if I asked for the day off and the Boss said No, I'd be stuck.
I made the appointment yesterday at lunch time when no-one was around and the Professor I spoke to was really quite nice. I think they're used to young men not doing the right thing somehow.
So to-morrow I can sleep in so I'm writing this to-night.
So, it's on with the geeky stuff.
I've heard that the Japanese like women, I've also heard that they like Robots, but isn't this a little ridiculous, but it is fun, what do you think?
