Reenergizing the Electric Car
For the geeks and nerds here's what it's all about.
MR. EBERHARD:Tesla's founding father says I'm an electrical engineer. I understand electronics, I understand motors. I know a little bit about cars, but I am certainly no expert; at least I wasn't three years ago.
I knew that I could staff a team here in Silicon Valley to build the drive train, the motor, the power electronics and the battery system - that was our core technology.
But I didn't think that we had the wherewithal to build a world class sports car all by ourselves.
So we sought out a relationship with Lotus Cars in England and licensed the technology for their chasse, suspension and the safety systems of their car as a basis of our car; not the same chasse but the same kind of chasse, the same technology to that.
This is a good place to start. Many people consider the Lotus at least to be the best handling car on the road today and you can put it on the track and it's really magic.
Sounds good to techno, that's ME!.
The latest gadget from Toshiba is the SD-P50DT player,a portable hybrid version of DVD and PMP. It comes with a 5″ LCD screen and the player supports DivX playbackone of the most popular HD video file formats.
LaCie’s approach to storage, offers external storage.
This Hard Disk Design by Neil Poulton, who is a multi-award winner designer, is a glossy drive, finished in ‘mirror black’ with LaCie ‘1-Click’ Backup Software for PC and Mac.
Remember it's techno who brought it to you.

People tell me I'm cheating. Cheating what?
They're in their car, I'm on my bike, who's cheating?
I'd happily drive an electric car. Just waiting until I can afford one. The hybrid's are still a bit pricey here.
Now about that Toshiba thingy, that's gobbedy geek to me.
