Surfing and Saving and Energy from the Sun.
October 6th 2007 23:52
This morning I went for a very early morning walk along the beach. You can see from the photo there just how tranquil and peaceful it was. What a beautiful image. The flush of pink on the horizon was just beginning to fade and the sun's rays danced and glittered on the gently curling waves.
Somehow I knew it was going to be a great day and the waves would be sensational for riding to the beachfront. I was not wrong.
I lay there on the sand, just dreaming, and let the early morning sun soak into my body releasing it from its stresses of the night before.
I was at peace with the world and the day. When the surf picked up I'd be ready for it.
But that's enough for me to-day I guess you'd like some techy stuff, some more of the geek.
This picture is of my new digital watch. It's solar powered and that's good for the environment eh?
What I'd really like is something similar to the next picture.
It's a great age this digital age, isn't it?
So as we have energy saving week coming up at the end of October, I'm going to share some pictures with you to help reduce your energy consumption at home.
The first, called an owl monitor will check how much your energy is costing you around the home with your electrical appliances. It also checks green house gases emitted and gives the temperature and humidity.
The second is an Intelligent Extension Lead, used to power down appliances on standby.
And finally the last helps programme lights, appliances and other electrical appliances so they turn on or off at specific times.
So when it comes to gadgets, go for green.
And I'll close, this being Sunday (and I don't want to work too hard ) with this shot of me surfing. My mate's a great photographer, don't you think?
