Independent filmmakers attract piracy
September 29th 2010 08:20
Greg Carter figures that unauthorized viewing of his latest movie, “A Gangland Love Story,” has cost him as much as $100,000 in lost revenue, dashing hope that he’ll ever see a profit.
Greg Carter spent the last three years scraping together $250,000 to write, direct and produce "A Gangland Love Story," a gritty, urban retelling of "Romeo and Juliet."
And piracy has crippled him - not quite fair is it?
stealing is a crime - would you go into a shop and steal a camera or a laptop or a book of a frock or a suit?
The trouble is those who steal from the internet and pass it on to friends don't perceive what they are doing as theft, but it is, and underneath they know it, but they don't think- dummies
I feel for this poor guy
and you should too
techno tells it - like it is
