Facebook wants to be the internet hub and has put its money where its mouth is

Given Facebook's record on privacy and data, are you prepared for the company to know absolutely everything about you and your closest friends?
"All of your communications with any one person will be bundled into one GIANT thread of email, text, and chat communication", remarks one observer.
So what about the rest of us who have no interest in facebook at all, will we now all be forced to join and declare all for the world to see.
It makes me shudder and I'm just a young techie, how will otheres fare and what will the oldies do. Jump off a cliff perhaps.
