Doggie tweets
August 26th 2010 06:05
Tweeting has gone to the dogs. Mattel’s Puppy Tweets tag is the latest way for dogs to communicate. Just clip the tag to a dog’s collar. Then every time the pooch moves, barks or naps, its behavior is supposed to be detected by the tag, which sends a WiFi signal to a computer where a tweet is generated and sent to the owner. Over 500 phrases are pre-loaded to use as tweets. Due to its size, the tag is only suitable for larger dogs and the device has received mixed reviews. Nevertheless, the Puppy Tweets tag shows how free social networking sites can bring profits when revenue generating ideas are built around them.
