Now it's Nissan goes electric - everyone is on the band wagon leading to?
May 21st 2008 10:03
Nissan claims it's future comes from innovation, it's invested money and has the consumer back on side.
It has a partner for its electric venture in Renault and will produce the Ghosn.
Israel is the place to be, it has no natural oil supplies and is planning a network of roadside stations where cars can recharge their batteries.
One has to wonder whether the status quo will remain long enough for any planned venture to stay viable.
It will certainly be an interesting development.
Typical car journeys are short in Israel so the involvement there is easily understood, but what will the future really hold and will the consumer put his money where his mouth is in adopting such a radical new approach.
Only time will tell.
But everyone is expecting it. I think I'd put my money on TATA. What is your view?
They are expecting viable developments from as early as 2010. I think they'll need to get a move on.
I think this car is ugly, no matter how useful.
